How to fund ordinal inscription transactions on Gamma

Ordinal inscriptions are compatible with Taproot addresses. As of today, you must send your inscription payment to a Taproot address, which isn't supported by all wallets or exchanges.

In the US, exchanges like Kraken and apps like Strike support withdrawing to a Taproot address. Consult your exchange or Bitcoin wallet to see if they support Taproot. Many hardware and software wallets are configurable to support sending to Taproot addresses, but it may require a settings change or update.

Taproot addresses start with bc1p (less common)

Native Segwit addresses start with “bc1q” (more common)
