Unisat wallet is Bitcoin compatible and can be used on Gamma. It isn't compatible with Stacks so if you need to have both, we recommend setting up an Xverse wallet or a Leather wallet (formerly Hiro).
Install
First, head over to https://unisat.io/download
Decide to either install the Chrome extension or download it from Github. Please note the Chrome Store option also allows you to install it on Brave.
Add the extension to your browser. You'll land here.
You now have the option to restore a wallet if you already have one, or to create a new one.
Create a new wallet
First, you'll need to create a password that you'll use to unlock your wallet extension. Make sure it's a strong password and never share it with anyone. Type it in again to confirm it.
Now, store your secret phrase, also called seed phrase. This is the only way to recover your wallet if you change device, so make sure you keep it somewhere safe, offline and off your computer. Double check it's correct and click continue.
Choose either a Segwit address or a Taproot address. For more information regarding different Bitcoin address types, please check this article.
Here, we selected a Segwit address, that starts with bc1q.
In a Unisat wallet, you only have one address.
Click receive and copy your address if you'd like to receive Bitcoin or an Ordinal. Even though an address can receive both Bitcoin and Ordinals, we recommend you make a choice and use it for one purpose only. If you hold Bitcoin tokens and Ordinal inscriptions in the same address, you might send some of your Ordinals as part of a payment transaction by mistake.
