First, visit the Magic Eden Wallet website and click the Download button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
After clicking the link, you'll see a page where you can choose to download either the mobile version or the browser extension version of the wallet app.
Launch your Magic Eden Wallet, and the app will automatically guide you to a prompt where you can either import an existing wallet or create a new one.
In this example, we'll create a new wallet. Simply select Create new wallet.
Start by setting a secure password, which will serve as your primary method of accessing your wallet. Make sure to keep it safe, as it cannot be recovered if lost.
If the password you choose is too simple, the wallet will prompt you to add more complexity. Once finalized, confirm the password to proceed.
Your wallet is now ready to use!
As an important security step, you should back up your wallet.
Make sure to write down your recovery phrase. Then, click the ‘Account’ icon at the bottom right of your dashboard and select the ‘Back Up’ option under the ‘Security’ tab.
You’ll be prompted to enter your password. Ensure you're in a secure location where no one can peek at your screen.
Anyone with your recovery phrase can access your wallet, so it's crucial that only you have access to it. Keep your recovery phrase private and secure.
Click ‘Reveal’ to view your recovery phrase, then write it down somewhere secure. It's recommended to use pen and paper, as storing a digital copy can be less secure than keeping a physical copy in a safe location.
You’ll also need to confirm your backup by selecting two words from your recovery phrase.
Once that’s complete, your wallet is fully backed up and you're all set to go!
